Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and results-driven Branch Manager to lead our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia branch. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day branch operations, supporting business development, managing client relationships, leading the internal team, and ensuring recruitment and service delivery goals are met.
Although based in Dartmouth, this role will also work closely with our East Coast team to support clients across the Maritimes and Canada, providing exceptional service and customized recruitment solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a sales and service mindset, and the ability to manage both people and business priorities in a fast-paced staffing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring service standards, recruitment activity, and client expectations are consistently met
- Lead, support, and mentor branch staff, creating a positive, accountable, and collaborative team environment
- Manage and grow branch accounts while maintaining strong client satisfaction and retention
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring service deliverables and customer service goals are being met or exceeded
- Support business development activity, including identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and implementing sales strategies
- Source key business opportunities and support the development of branch growth plans
- Work with existing clients to understand staffing needs, resolve concerns, and provide effective workforce solutions
- Monitor branch performance, including recruitment activity, client service levels, sales activity, and weekly metrics
- Support recruitment delivery by ensuring job orders are worked effectively and candidates are being sourced, screened, and placed in a timely manner
- Assist with candidate and client escalations, performance concerns, attendance issues, and assignment-related matters
- Ensure branch compliance with company policies, employment standards, health and safety requirements, and internal processes
- Review and support branch documentation, including client agreements, candidate records, onboarding files, and assignment details
- Develop strong communication channels with internal teams, clients, candidates, and senior leadership
- Analyze local market trends, client needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Prepare sales documents, client correspondence, proposals, and other business-related materials as required
- Communicate corporate objectives professionally and effectively to internal and external parties
- Manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines while ensuring assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Support the overall success, profitability, and growth of the branch
Requirements:
- Previous leadership, branch management, sales, recruitment, or staffing industry experience preferred
- Experience in the employment and staffing industry is considered an asset
- Strong business development and client relationship management skills
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and support a team
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail
- Professional, service-focused, and comfortable communicating with clients, candidates, and internal teams
- Ability to work independently while supporting broader company and regional goals
- Daily use of a vehicle is required
