We are currently looking for an Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) Support Specialist to join our Corporate Safety team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Compliance, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the enterprise technology solutions used for various assurance related activities including audit, risk, compliance, safety and environment across the Emera group of companies. You will play a pivotal role in the enhancing the support model for these GRC platforms.
Key elements of this role include:
- Act as the primary resource for the support and ongoing administration of Emera's enterprise GRC technology platforms, monitoring system performance and effectiveness.
- Lead configuration changes, new functionality based on business requirements and incident response including testing, troubleshooting, escalation protocols, and deploying changes/communications in coordination with the business.
- Manage master data (e.g., incident reports, corrective actions, integrations with HR systems, etc.) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proactively work with the business to ensure quality data.
- Facilitate working groups with internal and/or external stakeholders to improve processes, usability, efficiency.
- Champion new platform features, functionality, and vendor enhancements to drive continuous improvement and user adoption.
- Administer user access, permissions, and data security across Emera operating companies.
- Facilitate training and awareness activities on the technology solution (knowledge articles, job aids, FAQ's, etc.).
- Develop Emera Safety business continuity processes and materials documentation for the technology solution.
- Stay current on industry innovation and trends impacting technology and the technology solution and share key insights with internal stakeholders.
- Comply with corporate application security policies and collaborate with internal IT Security and cyber teams as required.
- Develop and evaluate key performance indicators related to system performance and service levels on a periodic basis.

- Post secondary education in business, information technology, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Approximately 2+ years of experience in maintaining and administering GRC SaaS solutions (Optro (AuditBoard), Cority, RSA Archer, MetricStream, Riskonnect, ServiceNow, Workiva, Logic Gate).
- Experience understanding of system configuration and development are considered an asset.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand user needs and translate them into practical system solutions.
- Highly motivated, energetic, and hands-on professional with strong collaborative skills who can work with diverse team members (both internal and external).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate about digital innovation and delivering exceptional customer experience.
A valid driver's license is required. Ability to travel to Emera operations in Canada, the US and Caribbean, may be a necessary part of the successful candidate's work routine.
