WHO WE ARE:
The Labour and Employment Board is a quasi-judicial administrative tribunal responsible for the supervision of labour relations in both the private and public sectors in New Brunswick. Responsibilities of the Board are mandated and set out in the provisions of, among others, the Industrial Relations Act, Public Service Labour Relations Act, Employment Standards Act, Pension Benefits Act, and Human Rights Act. We are seeking an individual to provide professional assistance and support with respect to these acts and regulations. The position is in Fredericton.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will work in a small team setting and be responsible for: processing applications and complaints in accordance with legislative timeframes; acting as receptionist; transcribing correspondence, decisions and orders; preparing reports; and performing other clerical duties as required. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that the Board complies with government records management policies.
WHO YOU ARE:
You possess strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. You are adept at prioritizing your workload and have a keen attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED and successful completion of a one (1) year related post-secondary education, and minimum of (5) years of related work experience OR high school diploma or GED and minimum of six (6) years related work experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate the following asset qualification:
- Experience working with legal documents

SALARY:
From $1,816 to $2,205 bi-weekly (under review)
