Field Operation - Training & Quality Specialist

This position is:
On-site - working all 5 days per week in the Office
Reporting to the National Manager of Training and Quality, the Training and Quality Specialist will be supporting the development, performance, and quality standards for our field Operations team. Working closely with Training & Quality team members, this role is responsible for assisting in both creation and delivery of technical training programs. Additionally, this role will assist in the development and delivery of training courses for new products equipment deployed in the field.
The successful candidate is a self-motivated learner who stays current with evolving technologies and industry trends. Comfortable designing and implementing training and educational initiatives, they are able to work independently on projects of varying scope and complexity. They possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to effectively train, coach, and mentor field technicians, helping to build a high-performing, consistent, and customer-focused team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain technical training materials, including presentations, job aids, guides, and other learning resources for field technicians.
- Develop and deliver training programs to support new products, technologies, equipment, and operational processes.
- Partner with subject matter experts and operational teams to identify learning needs and ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with business objectives.
- Analyze quality inspection results, audit findings, and performance trends to identify knowledge gaps and implement targeted learning solutions.
- Facilitate technical training sessions and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance support to field technicians.
- Evaluate and continuously improve training programs and learning materials based on business needs, learner feedback, and operational outcomes.
- Conduct quality inspections and field audits of installations completed by internal technicians and authorized agents to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Investigate and resolve customer escalations related to installation quality and field operations.
- Travel within Eastlink service areas to support training delivery, quality inspections, audits, and coaching activities.
- Collaborate with Training & Quality team members to promote consistent service delivery, operational excellence, and a high-performing field workforce.
Key Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary education (Electronics background an asset) and/or equivalent experience
- Experience in adult education will be considered a strong asset
- Strong communication abilities
- Excellent presentation skills
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to work independently, with maintaining a high level of accuracy to detail
- Ability to travel, must possess a valid driver’s license, company vehicle provided
