Definition of Work: Reporting to the Provincial Manager of Integrated Staffing and Scheduling, the Human Resources Manager - Scheduling is a member of the Human Resources leadership team and is directly responsible for the operation and supervision of the regional Staff Scheduling Departments in Western and Labrador Grenfell Zones. The Human Resources Manager - Scheduling works as part of the scheduling team in a time sensitive and deadline-driven environment to call-in, schedule and allocate staff in accordance with the various collective agreements and established policies and procedures of the organization.
The Human Resources Manager - Scheduling exercises sound judgement and initiative throughout their work. This role requires critical thinking, the ability to create positive working relationships with a diverse group of staff, managers, union representatives and other HR Managers. This position is responsible to effectively lead their team through change and continuous improvement processes. The incumbent must excel under pressure and have exceptional attention to detail and will be required to work cooperatively with employees, managers, union representatives and other members of the Human Resources team.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will have a university degree in Business Administration/Commerce, Engineering, Project Management or other related degree. Minimum of 3 years of management or direct supervision experience. Recent experience with a computerized scheduling system would be an asset preferably in a health care setting. A working knowledge of computer software including word processing, spreadsheeting and database applications is required. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to work and communicate effectively with people in all departments of this organization and with external organizations.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
