JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Infrastructure, the incumbent is responsible for space management and allocation at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. The incumbent plays a strategic role in optimizing space. He or she is responsible not only for the functional planning of renovations and reconfigurations, but also for coordinating all logistics, including the management of the material and human resources required for optimization. This position requires a high level of ingenuity to solve complex problems in a constantly evolving hospital environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hold a university degree in Architecture;
  • Master's degree in Administration;
  • Eight years of experience in space planning and optimization, including logistics management;
  • Experience in the hospital sector would be considered an asset;
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes in a hospital environment as well as CSA Z-8000 standards;
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
  • Proficiency in CAD software for the development of conceptual plans and drawings;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and solve complex strategic problems and to innovate in a constantly changing environment;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
  • Good judgment, tact, and discretion;
  • Ability to prepare and analyze architectural plans;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Must meet the requirements of the Vitalité Health Network Official Languages Directive;
  • Strong interactive and adaptable communication skills;
  • Collaborative and supportive attitude;
  • Leadership and coordination skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
