Job Details:
- Be accountable for promoting and compliance with Vale's Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
- Provides technical guidance for engineering design, analysis and recommendations on strategic investment in equipment, technology, and initiatives to optimize asset value
- Plan and manage business cases, material, cost and timing estimates, reports and specifications for equipment and infrastructure
- Develop the asset strategy, identifying asset criticality to the business, setting service strategy based on performance required, and driving reliability and cost-effective lifecycle management. Identify critical spares and recommend stock levels Provide technical assistance in field troubleshooting, repair of equipment and risk assessment and investigate mechanical failures.
- Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs and provide guidance on-site to maintenance planning and execution team

- Undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering required.
- Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng.) is an asset.
- Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) and/or Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification is preferred.
- 5+ years of maintenance, reliability and/or engineering experience
- Experience with equipment maintenance execution and work management processes in mineral processing plants is preferred
- Strong experience with Failure Investigations, development and implementation of effective solutions to reduce looses
- Experience with inspection of installation, modification and commissioning of infrastructure and equipment
- Experience in conducting research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems
- Experience with FMEA,RCM and managing metrics such as Availability, Utilization, Productivity (OEE), MTBF and MTTR
- Software skills in of MS Office products and CMMS systems (SAP).
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
