Financial Analyst (Finance - AP/GL) & Senior Financial Analyst (Finance - Treasury)

Key Responsibilities:
Our Finance team is a critical part of our organization's success, leading key responsibilities which may include:
- Oversight of accounting functions to manage accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of internal and external transactions;
- Prepare various management reports, consisting of financial and non-financial performance metrics;
- Complete detailed analysis to support reporting processes for the various stakeholders;
- Respond to requests for information from internal and external parties and conduct detailed analysis as required;
- Develop and maintain financial models in support of cash flow and liquidity management; make short-term investment and borrowing recommendations and trade foreign exchange, money market instruments, fixed income securities and derivatives contracts on behalf of the Company.
- Oversee the completion of financial analysis and transactions;
- Work with the finance team in the preparation of monthly financial reporting and detailed analysis to support management and regulatory requirements and information needed for reporting both financial and non-financial metrics;
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to evolve processes or other parts of the financial accounting and reporting environment;
- Complete accounting and finance projects such as internal control, regulatory filings and proceedings, development, documentation and implementation of new financial processes.

What You'll Need:
- A University Degree in Commerce or Business Administration and a recognized accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent experience;
- 5+ years in financial analysis/reporting as well as in a Treasury department or similar finance environment;
- The ability to identify issues, develop solutions and make recommendations to management;
- Working knowledge of IFRS or other recognized GAAP;
- Experience working with ERP systems such as JD Edwards Enterprise One and Business Intelligence software systems;
- High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel;
- General knowledge of the electric utility or other capital intensive industry.
