Staffing Coordinator - Ottawa, Ontario

We're looking for a Staffing Coordinator to join our Ottawa team. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys connecting with people, supporting job seekers, and helping clients find the right talent.

Advantage Personnel has been providing employment and staffing services across Canada since 1986. We support temporary, contract, and direct hire recruitment across a wide range of industries. Our focus is on building strong relationships and delivering thoughtful service to both our clients and associates.

What You'll Do
In this role, you'll support the recruitment process from start to finish. You will speak with candidates, learn about their skills and goals, and connect them with suitable job opportunities. You'll also work closely with clients to understand their staffing needs and help coordinate placements that support their operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Source and screen candidates for various roles
• Interview and assess applicants to match them with suitable job opportunities
• Coordinate start details and onboarding for new hires
• Maintain contact with associates to support engagement and retention
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and candidates
• Communicate with clients to understand staffing needs and support placement coordination
• Keep applicant records and internal systems organized and up to date
• Support day-to-day branch recruitment and service needs as required

What We're Looking For

• Experience in staffing, recruitment, HR coordination, or a customer-focused office role
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Strong organization and follow-through
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
• A genuine interest in working with people and helping them succeed

What to Expect
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Ottawa, Ontario. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role may occasionally require flexible working hours to meet business needs.

The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $60,000 annually, based on experience.
