Duties

Under the general supervision of the Works Superintendent or designated supervisor, the incumbent is responsible to supervise, direct and deploy staff and equipment in the operation of snow clearing; ice control; waste management; sidewalk and park maintenance; animal control; and other related services.

Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a public works field, including supervisory experience supplemented by successful completion of a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from a recognized post-secondary institution; or sufficient qualifications as determined by assessment. Knowledge of operations, snow clearing, horticulture and/or landscaping is required.
