MAINTENANCE PLUMBER (BAND LEVEL 7)
Department of Facilities Management
(23-Month Contractual Position)
DUTIES
The Maintenance Plumber will be required to perform skilled plumbing tasks in installing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment. Duties include maintaining, repairing and, servicing all types of plumbing and filtering systems, including low pressure steam heating systems, hot water systems, and equipment; installing salt and fresh water plumbing systems; repairing hot- and cold- water lines, low pressure steam heating lines, air lines, and gas lines; repairing or replacing faulty taps, valves, traps, controls, pumps, fixtures, and equipment; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (1-3 years) as a plumber, including some experience (up to 1 year) in performing building maintenance and repair tasks; graduation from high school supplemented by successful completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program. Possession of a valid journeyperson plumbing certificate, a valid driver's license, and driver's abstract, as issued by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, is required.
SALARY $33.58 - $39.38 per hour (NAPE Local 7801)
