The New Brunswick Housing Corporation is seeking an individual to join the Property Management and Loans Administration team as a Loan Officer supporting Housing Programs in its Central Office in Fredericton.

Reporting to the Property Management and Loans Administrations Supervisor/Provincial Consultant, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely and accurate administrative reports and data to regional offices, central office staff and external sources such as solicitors or clients. Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of duties using considerable independent judgment, initiative, and discretion.

Duties will include being responsible for the preparation and execution of legal documents including postponements, discharges & withdrawals of judgements and settlements, promissory notes, affidavits, deeds, and other legal notices. Financial duties will include managing and investigating loan or arrears disputes, calculating payments, interest rates and subsidies for income reviews and renewals, preparing and processing journal entry requisitions, processing re-amortization requests, reviewing various financial documents and reports, and responding to requests, gathering information, reviewing, assessing and responding to loan files including inactive and active loan accounts, judgments, consumer proposals, bankruptcies, write-off accounts, calculations for homeowner loan accounts, maintaining client file records and other database information, liaison with regional staff and central office staff, and/or perform other related duties that may be assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and a one (1) year post-secondary diploma in administration, business administration, or office management and at least five (5) years directly related experience

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and in French is required. Please state your language capability.

Asset Qualifications:

  • Experience working with legal and financial files.
  • Experience with spreadsheets such as Excel.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary: $1,816 to $2,205 biweekly
