Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking an accomplished, detail-oriented and dependable individual to join our team as a Research Assistant. The ideal candidate will have experience in Oncology Clinical Trials.

Who you are

You have a worked in a clinical trial setting for a minimum of one year. You have experience in the submission of regulatory documents to the REB. You have a good proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications.

A bachelor degree in a health sciences is required.

You have a minimum of one year experience in the field

Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.

What you will do

  • Responsible for the submission of research and regulatory documents to Horizon's Research Ethics Board
  • Ensure that all research and regulatory documents are completed in accordance with applicable laws, government regulations and guidelines
  • Organize and file all study-related documents as per Health Canada regulations
  • Develop and maintain methods of tracking research information through databases and spreadsheets
  • Assist in the preparation of audits by Sponsors and/or Health Canada
  • Process invoices and financial payments
  • Acquire signatures for regulatory documents
  • Assist in development of SOPs in Oncology clinical trials
  • File study documents, test results, blood work etc.
  • Archive documentation related to study once it has closed and develops and maintains a method of retrieval from storage
  • Schedule meetings for research team and prepares meeting minutes
  • Assist Principal Investigators and the Clinical Trials Manager with reports and data inquiries
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing courier services
  • Summarize data using databases and spreadsheets
  • Perform other duties as assigned
