Job Summary
Reporting to the Regional Manager, Infrastructure Operations, Biomedical Engineering, Accommodations & Leasing, and Quality (Eastern Rural Zone), the Project Manager leads Biomedical Engineering, Infrastructure Support, and Infection Prevention and Control projects within the Eastern Rural Zone.
This role manages the full project lifecycle (initiation through close-out), including governance, scope, scheduling, budget management, risk identification and mitigation, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring projects align with organizational priorities, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
? Plan and implement projects, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource coordination.
? Provide effective project governance and reporting, including status updates and recommendations to leadership.
? Manage project budgets and support fiscally responsible decision-making.
? Identify project risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
? Coordinate and liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors, supporting procurement activities such as business cases, tender development, and vendor evaluation.
? Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical, technical, and operational partners.
? Support quality, safety, and patient care outcomes through effective project execution.

Qualifications
Education
? Graduation from a 3-year engineering technology program is required.
? Bachelor?s Degree in Technology or equivalent is required.
? Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent certification is considered an asset.

Experience
? Minimum of five (5) years? experience within the last seven (7) years in healthcare setting is required.
? Experience leading complex projects in a healthcare or technical environment is required.
? Experience managing projects involving medical equipment and/or healthcare infrastructure implementations is required.
? Experience working with clinical stakeholders, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams is required.
? A combination of leadership or management experience within a technical healthcare environment is required.
? Minimum of Three (3) years? experience project management roles is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
? Knowledge of NL Health Services? business operations, including capital equipment planning, procurement processes, and business case and tender development.
? Knowledge of current healthcare technologies and industry best practices related to medical equipment and infrastructure.
? Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
? Strong project planning, scheduling, risk management, and financial management skills, including experience managing project budgets and reporting.
? Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and exercise judgment in complex environments.
? Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders.
? Demonstrated ability to lead change and support continuous improvement initiatives within complex healthcare environments.
? Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving project outcomes.
