The City of Saint John is seeking to recruit a highly skilled, team orientated and motivated Journeyperson Carpenter to join our Asset & Energy Management team. The Journeyperson Carpenter assists to ensure municipally owned and/or operated facilities remain in a good state of repair through the performance of carpentry work. The Journeyperson Carpenter works within a multi-facetted department responsible for the operation of municipal facilities including arenas, community centers, parks, playgrounds, and sports fields, providing assistance to special events, and a variety of recreational facilities. The duties and responsibilities of this position vary throughout the year as the need and demand for services change with the seasons.

Essential Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Journeyman Carpenters License, the aptitude to learn and to adapt to new workplace technologies, and the ability to develop in the municipal public service is essential. A security clearance is required.
