The Opportunity We are currently seeking an Inventory Analyst join our Commercial team in St. John's, NL. This is a permanent position, working a Monday to Friday schedule, based in St. John's. Travel to Long Harbour and Voisey's Bay will be on an as-needed basis. As an Inventory Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data, making improvement recommendations, problem solving, planning and prioritizing work with specific deadlines, coordinating tasks and activities with other departments, creating replenishment requisitions for warehouse inventory. The incumbent will provide ongoing support to warehousing, procurement and operations, coordinate initiatives and provide an excellent standard of service that will meet the needs of the business. Additionally, in this position you will:
  • Analyze inventory data to forecast demand, identify anomalies, and recommend inventory level adjustments.
  • Create and manage warehouse replenishment requisitions based on set parameters and analysis.
  • Set and maintain inventory parameters to balance service levels, cost, and operational requirements.
  • Evaluate outputs from inventory planning tools and recommend alternative actions when needed.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Warehousing, and Procurement to support inventory planning and execution.
  • Analyze obsolete, non-moving, and critical inventory and support coordinated optimization initiatives.

About You Education:
  • College Diploma in relevant field (Business/Supply Chain), or a combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
Skills:
  • Experience with negotiating, collaboration, and gaining consensus.
  • Strong comprehension of Supply Chain and Inventory Management.
  • Strong inventory process and control knowledge.
  • Experience with Oniqua or SAP would be an asset.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
