As part of New Brunswick Energy Marketing, the Analyst I is responsible for reconciling energy and commodity transactions, ensuring accurate settlement and billing in compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements, maintaining financial records and Account Receivable/Account Payable coordination, supporting audits, and delivering timely regulatory and financial reporting.
Key functions include:
- Perform accurate reconciliation of energy and commodity transactions in order for the billing to meet the contract requirements and be compliant with all regulatory bodies, tariff, and market rules.
- Conduct variance analysis and data reviews to maintain and ensure accuracy of settlement records, accruals, and customer and vendor information, while maintaining Accounts Receivable, providing timely invoice details to Accounts Payable, and supporting audit requests as needed.
- Assist with federal (Canada and US), provincial and state regulatory statistical, financial and energy reporting within strict deadlines.
Our ideal teammate will have:
- Bachelor of Business Administration or Commerce or College Business Diploma (would require an additional two years work experience)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
Combined with - One to three years progressive responsibility in the areas of:
- financial accounting
- management or cost reporting
- data analysis
- performance management
- contract management
An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
