DUTIES: Western Health currently requires a Manager of Client Financial Services on a permanent basis in Corner Brook. This position reports to the Regional Director of Community Support, and as a part of the management team will participate in the overall planning, implementation and evaluation of the Community Support program.
This position will have specific accountability to manage the operations of Community Support Client Financial Services and supervise program staff. The manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of all financial services of Community Support programs/services.
The manager will interpret policies related to legislation and provincial standards for financial services research and develop policies and guidelines for service delivery and completion of required financial audits and reviews, enhance linkages with internal programs, and facilitate partnerships with external stakeholders/consumer groups.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant will be self-motivated possessing strong interpersonal, leadership, oral and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. The successful applicant will embrace a philosophy of client-focused care, have a minimum of five years of management experience, experience in financial analysis, and possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Completion of a Bachelor?s Degree in Business with a major in Accounting is required. Completion or near completion of a professional designation is desirable. Experience within health care and the Meditech and CRMS information systems are desirable but not essential.
