Job Title: Furnace Operator (Thermal Pressing)

Location: Oakville, Speers Rd. and Third Line

Shifts: 8-hour rotating shifts (weekly rotation), with transition to continental 12-hour shifts in June 2026

• Days - 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Afternoons - 3:00pm - 11:30pm
• Nights - 11:00pm - 7:30am

Rate of Pay: $21.00-$24.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent hire

We are hiring Furnace Operators for a facility in Oakville! Our client specializes in vacuum heat treating, brazing, and coating services. Candidates must be able to lift and move 50lbs regularly, work at a fast pace, and stand or walk for long periods of time. Must be available to interview in Burlington ASAP.

Responsibilities include:

• Verify that correct parts, quantities, and test pieces are properly loaded and unloaded
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
• Load, lift, and secure parts to fixtures using wiring as needed
• Comply with all PPE requirements, including safety boots, glasses, hearing protection, and masks
• Operate forklifts and overhead lifting equipment (training provided)
• Learn and operate furnace equipment according to established procedures
• Work efficiently in both hot and cold conditions
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in similar fast-paced role required
• Must be comfortable repetitively lifting 50lbs
• Must be available and comfortable working ALL SHIFTS including weekends as part of the rotating schedule
• Strong communication, numeracy, and computer skills
• Valid Driver's License and own vehicle preferred
• Forklift experience and/or valid licenses are a bonus (Note: No forklift operation required in this role until permanent hire)
• CSA approved safety shoes required
• Candidates must be willing to provide a Criminal Record Check
