Job Details:
JOB PURPOSE
The Activity Worker is responsible for organizing and implementing activities for patients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduation plus an additional program in the field of human services or social sciences of over six months and up to one year in duration or equivalent.
- Specialized education or experience may be required in some areas.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Activity Worker is responsible for:
- Planning and implementing activities and events
- Encouraging and supporting patients to participate in activities and events
- Maintaining equipment, supplies, and activity areas
- Observing patient activities and providing relevant information to other health care providers
- Scheduling and overseeing volunteers for activities
- Maintaining clinical records and documentation
