Room Attendant

Job Title: Room Attendant
Location: St. John's
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8-5

Rate of Pay: $18 an hour

Advantage Personnel is currently seeking a Room Attendant for a client in the heart of St. John's. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care in a clean, safe, and supportive environment for patients and their families. We are committed to excellence in infection prevention and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect rooms and common spaces according to infection control standards
• Change linens, make beds, and restock supplies
• Properly handle and dispose of waste, including biohazard materials, following the proper safety protocols
• Ensure rooms are prepared promptly
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns
• Follow all policies, including confidentiality and PPE requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or healthcare cleaning experience preferred
• Understanding of infection prevention practices (training provided if required)
• Ability to handle sensitive environments with a professionalism and compassion
• Strong ability to detail and time management skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for an extended period of time
