What is the opportunity?

The Director, Ultra Wealthy Analytics & Insights is responsible for gathering, analyzing and visualizing data to generate and deliver targeted and actionable insights that can unlock RBC's global revenue growth potential for the Ultra Wealthy segment . This role requires a unique combination of critical thinking, analytics expertise and problem-solving skills to influence senior leaders with data-driven insights

The incumbent will support the development of a global Ultra Wealthy-focused data set that provides insightful business management information, analytics, visualizations and dashboard reporting. This role would work to uncover new value-creation and/or value capture ideas and client-experience and engagement opportunities.

What will you do?

  • Work with internal data partners across RBC business platforms and geographies to collect, process and structure large datasets for analysis and reporting

  • Proactively integrate new internal and external data sources to enhance insights

  • Analyze datasets to identify patterns and linkages, and then translate them into targeted and meaningful insights to help uncover and assess new value-creation and/or value capture ideas and client-experience and engagement opportunities

  • Leverage data storytelling techniques to communicate complex insights in a clear and compelling way for non-technical executive stakeholders that supports strategic and operational decisions

  • Analyze datasets to identify patterns and linkages, and then translate them into targeted and meaningful insights to help uncover and assess new value-creation and/or value capture ideas and client-experience and engagement opportunities

  • Leverage data storytelling techniques to communicate complex insights in a clear and compelling way for non-technical executive stakeholders that supports strategic and operational decisions

  • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process improvement in data management and reporting

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • University degree, preferably in finance, data science, statistics or computer science

  • 5+ years of experience as a decision support specialist, data engineer, or data scientist with at least 3-4 years in financial services working with, and analyzing, large datasets

  • Excellent analytical skills with experience using data to translate data into actionable insights and strategies

  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI and other data visualization tools, with a strong ability to present data stories to non-technical stakeholders

  • Advanced Excel proficiency (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling)

  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages including SQL and Python as well as familiarity with Salesforce CRM

  • Experience with Machine Learning, Large Language Models and other AI techniques

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities; Ability to work effectively across teams and business units.

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$110,000 - $160,000
