SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: French essential and spoken English

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Critical Care, the incumbent is responsible for managing the unit, as well as planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating activities based on patient needs.

The incumbent is responsible for managing the nursing staff as well as the unit's material and financial resources.

They ensure the quality of care and patient safety by ensuring that established standards of care and practice are followed.

They collaborate with the entire organization, including patients, as well as with internal and external partners.

They assist the Program Director with administrative tasks and perform any other related duties as needed by the department.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or another relevant field;
  • Master's degree in healthcare management (preferred);
  • At least eight (8) years of experience in healthcare management or equivalent;
  • A combination of education and experience deemed equivalent may be considered;
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven leadership, conflict resolution, and change management skills;
  • Proven skills in managing human, material, and financial resources;
  • Strategic thinking and an innovative, collaborative management style;
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize assigned tasks;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
