Job Summary
This position's primary purpose is to provide advanced administrative and confidential support in the day-to-day operations of the Primary Health Care and Chronic Disease Program for Program Management, Director, and Clinical Chief, or other staff as required.

The Clerk IV will be responsible for prioritizing work and schedules, drafting and typing correspondence/reports and other necessary documents. They will also be responsible for coordinating meetings, recording and transcribing minutes, and preparing and distributing agendas, minutes and other related information. The Clerk IV will prepare presentations as well as obtain information for the completion of a variety of reports and other documents. They will also organize and maintain a filing system. They will be responsible for interacting with other directors/managers, management support, clients/families, community-based organizations and the Department of Health and Community Services/other Government Departments as well as the general public. The Clerk IV will also provide confidential assistance to members of the Management Team of the Primary Health Care and Chronic Disease Program, as necessary. Other related duties as required, including coverage for other management support positions as required.

Job Demands

Regularly lifts objects weighing less than 5 lbs and occasionally up to 10 lbs.
Work provides the opportunity to stand and walk within the office environment.
Constantly required to use fine/finger precision work while entering/maintaining data, as well as a constant requirement for eye/hand coordination to ensure precision in completing work and maintaining database files. Regularly requires bilateral repetitive fine motor skills (i.e. typing and mousing) while entering/maintaining data, as well as a constant requirement for eye/hand coordination to ensure precision in completing work and maintaining database files.

Job Qualifications

Education
Successful completion of a two-year Office Administration or Business Administrative program from an approved/recognized college is required.

Experience
Minimum of three years' experience within the last five in an administrative role is required.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of Meditech would be an asset.
Demonstrated ability to provide quality work in a timely manner.
Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated effective problem solving and analytical skills.
Proven ability to work with limited supervision in a dynamic work environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a deadline driven, team-orientated environment.

Other
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
A use of a personal vehicle is a condition of employment.
