Job Title: Logistics Supervisor
Location: Burlington, Fraser Dr. and Harvester Rd.
Shift: Days, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Rate of Pay: $24.00-$30.00/hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Temporary (5-6 months, possibility of extension)
We are hiring a Logistics Supervisor for a wholesale electrical distribution warehouse in Burlington! The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, coordinate staff, and ensure efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience in warehouse or logistics operations are required. Candidates must be available to interview in Burlington ASAP.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise daily dispatch operations, including routing, scheduling, and tracking of deliveries.
- Lead, coach, and support drivers and transportation staff, including onboarding and performance management.
- Coordinate driver schedules to ensure efficient, on-time service and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with HR on attendance, training, and employee relations; review and approve timecards in ADP.
- Monitor transportation costs, fleet maintenance, and compliance with MTO regulations.
- Review driver abstracts and support cross-border documentation as required.
- Communicate with internal teams and customers to address delivery inquiries and maintain high service levels.
- Track and report on delivery performance metrics, ensuring targets are met.
- Promote a safe, organized work environment and ensure adherence to ISO standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing operational efficiencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Distribution Centre & Logistics.
Candidate Requirements:
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Logistics or Transportation is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in transportation, dispatch, or fleet coordination preferred.
- Supervisory or team lead experience within a logistics environment is an asset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills with good financial awareness.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office 365).
