Job Description

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will be working for the Entitlements Team at RBC Canadian Wealth Management Operations, servicing our clients and business partners.

As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of distributions, settling claims, reconciling and handling inquiries.

What will you do?

  • Processing client requests in various capacities as they relate to entitlement functions. Placing a priority on answering client inquiries immediately, mitigating any sort of deviation on path toward resolution of such.

  • Analyze workflow processes to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiencies. Likewise, ensuring all processes properly ensure operational risks are ultimately mitigated.

  • Maintaining and troubleshooting robotic process automations where applicable

  • Receiving and sending funds for purposes of allocation to client's who are entitled both externally and internally.

  • Liaison with business/operations partners where needed & work on tracking and testing tax impute as required.

  • Timely reconciliation and resolution of funds outstanding due to less than straight forward circumstances

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • 2+ years relevant industry experience, or educational equivalent

  • Reconciliation and balancing of funds, under time sensitive deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access skills

  • Problem solving skills, and excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication/analytical skills

  • Risk Management and mitigation focus mindset

Nice-to-have:

  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC)

  • Similar experience in similar role, Corporate Actions or Entitlement Operations related within the financial industry

  • Direct experience using financial operation systems and interfaces such as:

    • Broadridge Financial Services

    • CDSX, DTCC

    • Cash wire applications

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, specifically database creations for automation initiatives requiring VBA writing knowledge
