We are searching for a Manager, Communications to join our Brand team. This role supports New Brunswick operations.

About the Opportunity
If you are a strategic communicator who loves to build strong relationships and bring ideas to life, this dynamic new role is for you. You will be part of an integrated team of communicators, and marketing, digital and design experts who work together to deliver on the organization's vision, steward our brands, and drive forward strategic initiatives. As part of this team, you will:
- Design and implement forward-thinking strategic plans that support meaningful partnerships with internal partners, government, media, and community organizations. Your efforts will enhance the organization's reputation, build trust, and support Shannex's five-year strategic plan
- Lead the development and execution of community engagement strategies that foster an environment where the voices of residents, patients and their families, and internal and external partners are heard
- Build and maintain relationships with government, public, media and community organizations, and recognize opportunities for growing these partnerships.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with the internal leadership team. Proactively identify needs and develop plans to ensure audiences can access, understand, and meaningfully engage with information
- Take charge of issue management and provide support in media relations. Serve as the organization's spokesperson when required, representing our values with integrity and clarity, and maintaining open channels of communication
- Analyze health care, longevity principles, long-term care, and seniors' living sectors to identify emerging trends and provide strategic insights that inform planning and decision-making
- Prioritize workflow, manage multiple projects and complete time-sensitive tasks.
- Create compelling and informative content for a variety of platforms, including briefing notes, speaking notes, and materials for senior leadership
- Additional related duties as required
About You
- In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability, you bring:
- An undergraduate degree with a concentration in Public Relations, Marketing or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years in progressive communication roles
- Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Experience or training in community engagement and media relations is considered an asset
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care
- A valid driver's license with the ability to travel
- French bilingualism is a requirement
