Site Description:

St. Clair College's South Campus is the main campus and serves as a hub for academic programs, student services, and administrative offices. The campus includes multiple academic buildings, student residences, athletic facilities, and parking areas. It is a high-traffic environment with students, faculty, staff, and visitors present throughout the day.

Position: Full-Time Security Supervisor

Site: St. Clair College South Campus, 2000 Talbot Rd. W

Hours: Continental Rotation 0600-1800 OR 1800-0600

Payrate: $23.96

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate, and monitor daily security operations across campus to ensure a safe learning and working environment.
  • Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly
  • Supervise, schedule, and support campus security officers to ensure adequate staffing and high performance.
  • Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public
  • Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources.
  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance evaluations for security staff.
  • Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person
  • Maintain positive and constructive relationships with The Client's staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required.
  • Ensure security personnel follow established procedures and maintain professional conduct.

Prerequisites:

  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
  • Full G driver's license
  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
  • Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
