ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

NL Health Services ? Labrador-Grenfell Zone is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join the team at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, NL, with an expectation to support regional needs throughout the broader Labrador-Grenfell Zone. This opportunity is available immediately.

St. Anthony is a scenic coastal community offering a safe and welcoming environment with access to outstanding outdoor recreation. The successful candidate will enjoy a broad scope of practice and work closely with a supportive interdisciplinary team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eligible for registration and licensure as an Anesthesiologist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)
  • Must satisfy credentialing requirements of the Labrador-Grenfell Zone
  • Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
  • Relevant clinical experience (asset)
  • Satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority
  • Satisfactory record of work performance and attendance

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide anesthetic services to surgical patients as a key member of the surgical team
  • Deliver pre-operative anesthesia clinic services and post-operative pain management
  • Participate in inpatient care pre- and post-operatively
  • Provide on-call coverage for Anesthesia, including weekends and holidays
  • Work collaboratively with a team of physicians and nurses to deliver required services
  • Support person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety
  • Function within the scope of practice of an Anesthesiologist

REMUNERATION

Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Base Salary: $263,672 ? $285,596 (Not including retention bonus, recognition of on-call responsibilities, and other applicable premiums.)

Available Incentives:

  • Physician Signing Bonus ? $150,000 + $25,000 top-up
  • Come Home Incentive ? $100,000 (if eligibility criteria are met)
  • Approved relocation expenses paid at 100% with a two-year commitment to NL Health Services
  • Salaried Retention Bonus
