Business Developer (Fundraising & Marketing Coordinator)
Location: Saint John, New Brunswick

The Opportunity
Family Plus is seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Developer (Fundraising & Marketing Coordinator) to lead efforts in revenue generation, community engagement, and organizational visibility. This role is critical to building long-term sustainability by diversifying funding sources, strengthening donor relationships, and elevating our presence in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Business Development
- Identify and secure funding through grants, corporate sponsorships, and donor engagement
- Lead and execute an annual fundraising campaign or signature event
- Develop and implement donor stewardship strategies
- Support major gifts and planned giving initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with funders and partners
Marketing & Communications
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, sustainable marketing and communications strategy
- Manage branding, website content, newsletters, and social media
- Increase community visibility through targeted outreach and campaigns
- Create compelling impact stories, reports, and public-facing materials
Strategy & Systems Development
- Build fundraising and marketing systems, including templates, timelines, and tracking tools
- Ensure all strategies are documented and transferable for long-term sustainability
- Align messaging with organizational mission, values, and strategic priorities
Community Engagement
- Represent Family Plus at community events and networking opportunities
- Strengthen partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
- Experience in fundraising, business development, or marketing
- Proven success in grant writing and donor engagement is an asset
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership
- Strategic thinker with strong organizational and project management skills
- Passion for mental health and community impact
