Job Summary:
Puglisevich is seeking a Health & Safety Instructor to deliver a range of training programs to our clients and support day-to-day training operations. This role will have a primary focus on delivering Rigging & Slinging training, along with other courses such as Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, and First Aid.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training courses, preparing materials, and following established curriculum and company procedures.
The typical work week is Monday through Friday (40 hours per week). However, this position requires flexibility, including travel and the ability to work outside of regular business hours (evenings and weekends) based on client needs. A valid driver's license is required.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct health and safety courses (as listed below)
- Prepare classroom and clean-up
- Maintain course equipment
- Administrate curriculum materials
- Knowledge of current Legislation and industry standards
- Assist team members with various projects
- Other duties as required
The successful candidate will instruct such courses as, but not limited to:
- Rigging & Slinging
- WorkplaceNL Confined Space Entry
- WorkplaceNL Fall Protection
- WorkplaceNL Power Line Hazards
- St John Ambulance First Aid
- Forklift
- H2S Alive
Requirements:
Candidates with prior instructional experience are preferred; however, individuals with hands-on experience (in crane, confined space, fall protection, etc.) who are interested in transitioning into an instructional role are encouraged to apply, as training can be provided.
- Previous experience teaching Rigging & Slinging training or relevant crane experience
- WorkplaceNL Confined Space Entry Trainer Assessment Approval
- WorkplaceNL Fall Protection Trainer Assessment Approval
- H2S Alive (Energy Safety Canada) Trainer Assessment Approval (considered an asset)
- First Aid & CPR Instructor Certificate from St. John Ambulance
- High school diploma or Equivalent
- Previous experience with program development
- Knowledge of current Legislation and Industry Standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.)
- Well organized; detail oriented
