NLHS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual for the position of Regional Lymphedema
Nurse. This position will be primarily responsible for the ongoing development and implementation
of the lymphedema management services across the continuum of care. The Regional Lymphedema
Nurse will provide treatment and support to patients dealing with lymphedema. In addition, the
Regional Lymphedema Nurse will assist with the development and implementation of policies,
procedures and standards of care for the treatment and management of lymphedema; promote and
coordinate an interdisciplinary team approach in the delivery of quality patient care; act as a resource
for health care providers by providing education; and enhance evidence informed care through
application of research to practice.


Qualifications:
? Baccalaureate Degree in nursing required
? Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
? Certification or willingness to complete the Complete Decongestive Therapy required for
management of lymphedema.
? Current registration with the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
? A minimum of five years current experience in nursing
? Demonstrated competency in organizational, leadership, interpersonal, team building,
communication and initiative and ability to work independently
? A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance.
? Proven leadership qualities, exceptional oral and written communication, and problem solving
skills.
? Ability to work well independently, demonstrate initiative and work well with others in an
interdisciplinary team environment.
? Demonstrated skill in using health care-based computer systems (CRMS, Meditech, CorCare)
? Use of private vehicle


Job Demands:
? Regularly lifts/moves objects between 10 ? 30 lbs.
? Regular standing/bending/walking
? Regularly performs fine motor skills


Preferred Qualifications:
? Completion of an approved Wound Care course
? Certification in Community Health
