Reporting to the Manager, Relationship Partnerships in Group Insurance, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating and validating information received following the sale of a new group or the addition of a division.
The role ensures consistency between information provided by Sales and Underwriting, identifies discrepancies, recalculates rates when required, and works closely with the Underwriting team to confirm risk acceptance.
The position also supports the implementation of new groups by preparing client communications when information is incomplete, organizing documentation within internal systems, creating requests for the addition of benefits or divisions, and contributing to the submission process through data entry and validation, as well as identifying variances from standard contracts.
- Coordinate and manage files following the sale of a new group or the addition of a division, ensuring thorough filing, complete documentation, and compliance with internal procedures, partner requirements, and information systems.
- Validate and reconcile sales and underwriting information to ensure consistency; identify discrepancies, reassess risk, and recalculate rates when required.
- Follow up on missing or incomplete information and maintain effective communication with brokers, TPAs, and the sales team to ensure proper tracking and resolution.
- Confirm final risk acceptance and approved rates with clients in accordance with established procedures.
- Create and process requests for benefit or division additions, validating client documentation against quoted and approved terms.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including procedure development, project support, knowledge sharing, and training of new team members.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English and French).
- More than three (3) years of experience in a related field (group insurance, benefits administration, underwriting, operations, or business services).
- Basic knowledge of group insurance and an understanding of benefits and underwriting concepts.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with computer tools, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel).

- Experience in group insurance benefits administration or group implementation.
- Experience collaborating with brokers, TPAs, and sales teams.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
