What is the opportunity?
As the Senior Manager, you will oversee the comprehensive management of the Application Development (AppDev) budget for the Insurance platform, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and strategic goals. You will provide leadership in financial planning, reporting, and governance, with a focus on delivering actionable insights and driving value across the portfolio. This role requires a strategic mindset to identify opportunities for optimization, counsel stakeholders, and ensure effective prioritization of initiatives in collaboration Intake, Digital Product and Transformation.
What will you do?
- Strategic Oversight of AppDev Budget: Lead the end-to-end management of the Insurance AppDev budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and alignment with business objectives. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and reallocation to high-priority initiatives.
- Governance and Reporting: Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks for PAR projects, ensuring compliance with financial protocols and regulatory requirements. Deliver comprehensive reporting and insights to senior leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Advisory and Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to the Digital Product team, providing strategic counsel on budget utilization, prioritization of work, and benefits realization. Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and collaboration.
- Portfolio Insights and Risk Management: Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor financial performance, regulatory risks, and delivery trends. Proactively identify and address potential headwinds or variances to ensure portfolio health.
- Collaboration with Intake Team: Partner with the Intake team to streamline the flow of work, support prioritization efforts, and ensure alignment of initiatives with available funding and strategic goals.
- Benefits Tracking and Optimization: Oversee the tracking and realization of benefits from delivery releases, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and maximizing return on investment.
- Annual and Quarterly Planning: Lead the planning and reconciliation of the financial portfolio, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals and operational priorities.
- Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team member, driving their engagement and ensuring they are equipped to support planning, reporting, and day-to-day obligations for the portfolio. Foster their professional growth and success in their mandate while aligning their contributions to broader team outcomes.
What will you need to succeed
Must-have
- 7-10 years in the financial industry
- University degree in business, finance or related field
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale financial portfolios, with a focus on governance, reporting, and strategic insights.
- Strong leadership and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving value and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$90,000.00 - $140,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
