Courier Driver

Job Title: Courier Driver

Position Type: Full Time/Temp-to-hire

Schedule: Start times range from 2:00am to 5:00am and 9 to 12 hours/day

Salary: $22.10/hour - overtime after 12 hours/day

Location: Dieppe, NB

Responsibilities:

• Sort, inspect, and organize freight to prepare it for loading, ensuring correct labeling and condition.
• Make multiple stops per day for pick-ups and drop-offs, confirming delivery addresses and schedules.
• Securely load freight onto vehicle, using proper equipment and safety techniques to protect goods.
• Plan and execute freight deliveries within an assigned territory, optimizing routes for efficiency.
• Complete required paperwork at each stop (e.g., proof of delivery, receipts, logs) and communicate with dispatch or clients about status updates or issues.
• Monitor load integrity during transit and adjust as needed to prevent damage or shifting of freight.

Job Requirements:

• 2-3 years of current driving experience.
• Previous hand-held scanner experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Experience in class 3- and 5-ton trucks.
• Be a minimum of 25 years old.
• Clean driver's abstract.
• Clear background check.
