Position Overview:

The City of Saint John is actively seeking student labourers to join our team for the summer months beginning in May. We have openings in the following areas:

  • Parks
  • Public Works
  • Parking
  • City Market
  • Saint John Water

If you are a team-oriented, hardworking, reliable, and motivated student, this is a great opportunity for you! Duties will vary based on the service area. The positions will have indoor and outdoor responsibilities, including:

  • Lawn mowing
  • Gardening
  • Sweeping
  • Garbage pick-up
  • Painting
  • Cleaning
  • And more

Hours and shifts will differ by position.

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a current full-time student
  • Be returning to full-time studies in the fall
  • Have the aptitude to learn
  • Have the ability to develop in the municipal public service
