NOTICE OF JOB OPPORTUNITY

POSITION: Long Term Care Assistant (3 positions)
STATUS: 1 Casual, 1 Term Part-Time and 1 Permanent Part-Time
HOURS OF WORK: 12-hour day shifts (8 AM - 8 PM), including weekends
RESPONSIBLE TO: Recreation Therapist and Volunteer Coordinator
DATE REQUIRED: Immediately
POSTING DATE: March 13, 2026

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Long Term Care Assistant (LTCA) role is a temporary position responsible for providing assistance to residents with daily routines with the exception of personal care. The LTCA is responsible for providing one-to-one support with residents and for assisting with recreation therapy programs.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

• Grade 12
• Keen interest and experience working with the elderly population.
• Ability to work as a team member and independently.
• Good time management and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with dementia an asset.
• Must display flexibility and innovation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
