Counter/Inside Sales Representative

We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Counter/Inside Sales Representative based out of our Saint John, NB location (438 Grandview Ave).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide prompt and professional service to walk-in customers and respond to product inquiries by phone and by email
• Assess customer needs and recommend suitable products, pricing, and alternatives
• Process sales transactions, quotes, special orders, and returns accurately
• Communicate order status, shipment details, and delivery timelines
• Provide hands-on services such as Fall Arrest Inspections, Respiratory Mask washing/maintenance, etc,
• Completion of Non-Conformity, Corrective & Preventive Action Reports
• Help maintain an organized, stocked, and professional counter area
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and repeat customers
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for customer pickup
• Coordinate incoming shipments and report discrepancies
• Provide back-up support with moving inventory & assist with scheduled physical inventory counts
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Though not required, preference will be given to individuals with Counter and/or Inside Sales experience working in Industrial Supplies or related environment(s)
• Strong customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Team player with a willingness to help wherever needed, whether it be counter, inside sales, warehouse, operations, etc
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Solid problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Honest, dependable, and punctual with a proactive work ethic
