We are growing our team and are seeking a development coordinator who has a passion for community engagement - if this sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

The Coordinator, Development & Special Events will work within our Development department which is responsible for fundraising initiatives across New Brunswick. The Coordinator, Development Programs will coordinate the Jump Rope for Heart program in Anglophone schools throughout the province. In addition to the Jump Rope for Heart program, the coordinator will support the team with other provincial fundraising events.

As a not-for-profit health charity, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick relies on fundraising programs to support mission programming, aimed at directly impacting the health of New Brunswickers. The successful candidate should possess exceptional communications skills, be detail oriented, and work well under pressure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruiting and coordinating schools for the Jump Rope for Heart Program.
  • Responsible for grant applications and Employee Giving programming.
  • Mining donor data, connecting with Monthly Donors and coordinating the database.
  • Assisting the Development team to secure sponsorships and recruit teams for events.
  • Supporting our virtual Bingo Program through weekly production, card delivery, tracking and maintaining inventory. (Monday evenings required)
  • Securing High End Auction items for various events.
  • Assist with additional development events to expand the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick's fundraising capacity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Written and spoken competency in English.
  • Self-motivated and committed to follow-through with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Valid license and regular travel are required.
  • Evening and weekend work required
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-Secondary Education - University or College Degree or 2+ years experience in a related field
