We are currently recruiting a Job Site Labourer & Cleaner (Residential Construction). As a Job Site Labourer & Cleaner (Residential Construction), you will work be responsible for supporting residential construction projects by maintaining clean, safe, and organized job sites. This role assists the project managers with general labour tasks while ensuring homes under construction remain tidy and ready for trades to work efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization on active residential construction sites
- Remove construction debris and dispose of materials in designated bins or dumpsters
- Sweep, clean, and prepare homes at various stages of construction
- Assist with pre-inspection and pre-occupancy cleaning of homes
- Support project managers with basic labour tasks when required
- Move and stage building materials throughout the site
- Load and unload deliveries of construction materials
- Assist with site setup and protection including floor protection, tarping, and material covering
- Keep walkways, entrances, and work areas safe and clear of debris
- Ensure tools and materials are stored safely and efficiently
- Follow all site safety requirements and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Previous construction or labour experience considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean job sites
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract
- Ability to follow instructions from the site supervisor
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable performing physical tasks including sweeping, lifting, bending, and carrying materials
Ability to work outdoors and in partially constructed homes in varying weather conditions
Compliance with all job site safety regulations
Proper use of PPE including safety boots, hard hat, gloves, and eye protection
