What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for business analysis activities on medium to large sized projects in a highly technical environment. Candidates must demonstrate advanced knowledge and ability and can apply the competency in new or complex situations. You will be responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery - planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support.

What will do you do?

  • Business Requirements Documentation: Elicit and document business requirements, including processes, user stories, data catalogues, business rules, use cases and UI design

  • Requirements Prioritization: Align and prioritize requirements with quarterly and annual business objectives

  • Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure alignment and seamless system integration

  • Data Integration and Quality: Analyze integration options, address data quality issues, and contribute to data models, system architecture, and error handling

  • Methodologies and Communication: Apply enterprise methodologies for planning and documentation while coaching and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • Industry Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in the insurance or financial industry, providing relevant domain knowledge

  • Agile and Hybrid Methodologies Expertise: Strong knowledge and leadership capabilities in Agile, Kanban, Scrum, and other frameworks, with experience applying best practices in both Agile and hybrid environments

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrates excellent analytical abilities, an inquisitive mindset, and a willingness to challenge the status quo to drive improvements

  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Change Management: Skilled in working with multiple stakeholders, identifying scope, enforcing change management processes, and maintaining strong professional relationships

  • Tool Proficiency and Communication: Proficient in tools like Jira and Confluence, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences

Nice to haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related (technical) degree/diploma

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute – Professional in Business Analysis (PMI – PBA) Certification

  • Experience analyzing data using SQL, API, XML and JSON message structures

  • Strong knowledge of fundamental data concepts (for example, but not limited to groups, hierarchies, data structures)

  • Experience working AI tools
