Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Journal Entry Officer and Wire Processor to ensure accurate financial processing, compliance, and operational efficiency across all lines of business. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of financial transactions, supporting wire operations, and driving process improvements.
What will you do?
Journal Entry Management:
- Prepare, review, and approve journal entries across all lines of business using designated applications.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies and deadlines.
Wire Processing:
- Execute wire postings and receive incoming wires as required.
- Verify wire details for correctness and adherence to procedural guidelines.
Settlement:
- Complete Settlement processes to ensure timely reconciliation and reporting.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Review transactions, reports, and documents to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Identify recurring errors or service gaps, and collaborate with the management team to implement corrective solutions.
Process Improvement:
- Proactively recommend enhancements to streamline workflows, reduce risks, and improve efficiency.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- 2+ years in accounting, financial operations, or transaction processing roles.
- Proficiency in financial systems/ERP tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
- Availability for extended hours during critical financial periods (month/quarter/year-end).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working in financial institutions or banking sector in financial institutions.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and internal control frameworks.
