We are looking for a registered paramedic currently employed by ANB to work as Field Training Paramedic - Western Region for duties such as the delivery of education.

In addition to your regular work schedule the successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of both basic and advanced medical and non-medical education programs and other specialized educational programs as required.

Accountability:

Reporting to the Clinical Quality and Education Coordinators, the Field Training Paramedic must demonstrate knowledge of adult education theory and its application and be able to work autonomously to meet strict deadlines. Working as an integral member of a high functioning team you will be expected to demonstrate leadership to effectively coach and provide support to other colleagues within the realm of the Training and Quality Assurance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates educational in-service training to paramedics across New Brunswick as required;
  • Facilitates restorative education with paramedics as required;
  • Writes summary reports on paramedic restorative activities;
  • Completes all required reports in a timely manner;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Education Coordinators and Clinical Quality Coordinators.

Required qualifications:

  • Must be licensed to work as a paramedic in the province of New Brunswick and be free of any restrictions to practice;
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
  • Able to work autonomously and to strict deadlines
  • Computer literacy
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult education theory and application;
  • Previous facilitator experience would be considered an asset;
  • Bilingualism would be considered an asset;
  • ACP would be considered an asset;
  • Travel will be required.

Please note compensation will be in the form of a Personal Services Contract with MHSNB.

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
