  • Verifying contractor progress claims against observed work and measured quantities
  • Observing and reporting on general site safety practices
  • Liaising regularly with contractors, project managers, municipal staff, and other stakeholders

What We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates with strong practical knowledge of municipal construction, particularly in water, sewer, and roadworks, who are comfortable making sound judgments in the field.

Ideal qualifications include:

  • Familiarity with the Newfoundland and Labrador Municipal Water, Sewer and Roads Master Construction Specifications
  • Ability to work independently on site with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document construction activities
  • Clear and professional communication skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to work typical construction hours and be present on site for extended periods throughout the construction season
  • Willingness to travel within Newfoundland and Labrador as required
  • Valid Class 5 Newfoundland and Labrador driver's license
  • Previous experience working with a consulting engineering firm or performing construction inspection is considered an asset, but not required.
