Title: Quality Engineer (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location:Brampton, ON

Pay Rate: $27.00
Shifts available: Monday - Friday - Flexible to start 7:00AM or 8:00AM
Employment Type: Temporary / Contract

We are currently building our pipeline for a future vacancy and are seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in automotive manufacturing to support our shop floor operations.

This upcoming opportunity will require a technically skilled and adaptable professional who can seamlessly integrate into a fast-paced production environment, actively support and maintain quality systems, and provide hands-on training to employees on proper measurement techniques and gauge usage. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to quality assurance, ensuring compliance with industry standards while promoting continuous improvement on the floor.

Job Duties:

  • Apply Quality Engineering principles within an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Use measurement tools and devices to inspect and measure various part features
  • Perform dimensional inspections using:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Other precision measuring equipment
  • Maintain and calibrate company and employee gauges
  • Ensure proper gauge control and compliance with quality standards
  • Train and coach employees on:
    • Proper gauge usage
    • Measurement techniques
    • Quality inspection procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and root cause investigations
  • Adapt quickly to shop floor processes and production workflows

Job Requirements:

  • Background in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of gauges, including calibration procedures
  • Experience training or mentoring employees on quality tools and measurement practices
  • Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic shop environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
