Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Director, HEF Partnerships leads the strategy, development, and execution of all Centre of Influence (COI) programs and partnerships within Home Equity Finance (HEF). This role enables and manages strategy development, strategic initiative leadership, and facilitates HEF Distribution priorities in close collaboration with partners across the enterprise. The Director will drive transformative COI strategies that enhance customer value propositions, manage program P&L, and strengthen relationships with key business partners to support HEF's mortgage acquisition and distribution strategies.

What will you do?

  • Develop and evolve a multi-year COI strategy and roadmap alongside key partners, ensuring initiatives are well-defined, estimated, sequenced appropriately, and interdependencies are managed efficiently

  • Lead key strategic COI initiatives and oversee the ongoing execution through appropriate stakeholder engagement and timely escalation of risks and issues

  • Lead all aspects of COI programs (Referral Awards Program, In-House Owner Broker program, province-specific programs, Builder segment strategies, and Alternative Mortgage Solutions)

  • Conduct current state assessments, recommend and implement transformative changes to enhance program performance and competitive positioning

  • Manage COI program P&L, drive growth and profitability through policy, process optimization, and partner collaboration

  • Lead national rollouts of program enhancements and strategic initiatives, obtaining necessary approvals and ensuring training delivery across HEF and Sales teams

  • Ensure all risk conditions under which programs were approved are satisfied and maintained

  • Identify opportunities for program enhancements including process, policy, credit risk, and technology improvements, and champion implementation

  • Lead high-impact strategic initiatives at national and regional levels, including marketing collateral updates, RBCx Ventures partnerships, and relationship-strengthening activities

  • Provide key updates to leadership (e.g., SMT, MBR, QBR) and the field (e.g., RP/RVP meetings, industry events)

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 5+ years' of financial services experience

  • 2-5 years' in line of business management or program leadership experience

  • Experience driving complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives and programs

  • Experience partnering across cross-platform groups (Regional Banking, Technology, Operations, Legal, Risk, Policy, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry and competitive landscape

  • Ability to translate complex ideas into impactful workstreams and outcomes

  • University Degree/MBA or extensive related work experience

Nice to have:

  • Home Equity Finance or mortgage industry experience
