Your main responsibilities
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules;
- Assisting the Project Managers, Engineers and Technicians in fulfilling multi-disciplinary civil, construction risk and structural health monitoring, geotechnical, environmental, geosciences, remediation, groundwater, and soil related projects across Northern Ontario;
- Coordinating and performing pre-construction condition surveys, vibration and noise monitoring of buildings and structures for construction and blasting related projects;
- Carrying out field geotechnical materials testing and sampling at work sites, potentially including soil compaction testing, concrete testing, asphalt field compaction and sampling;
- Consistently executing prescribed company technical procedures, safe work practices and work plans while completing field, laboratory, and office work;
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and monitoring of geotechnical and structural health instrumentation sensors and data collection networks;
- Recording test data and preparing factual reports, summaries, data sheets or graphs for interpretation of test results by the supervisor;
- Help maintain databases of records for pre-condition survey files, calibration certificates, equipment manuals and applicable standards;
- Participating in project management, site and staff planning meetings;
- Handling difficult situations with tact and diplomacy to maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts; and
- Performing other related duties as required.

- College Diploma in the Civil Engineering Field (Technician or Technology Level);
- Understanding of civil engineering and construction;
- Ability to work independently while contributing to the team's goals;
- Proficient with use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
- Valid provincial driver's license required.

The wage range for this position is $22 to $28 CAD base per hour, based on the responsibilities of the role, internal equity, and current market benchmarks. The final offer will be determined based on a combination of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience and qualifications, their positioning within our internal compensation structure, and relevant geographic cost-of-living considerations, where applicable. This range represents a realistic and good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this role.
Compensation may also include a comprehensive benefits package, performance incentives, or bonus eligibility depending on role level and business unit. We aim to foster transparency, respect candidate time and ensure equitable compensation aligned with our company values.
