Position Overview:

The City of Saint John is currently seeking a bilingual university/community college student to work at the Rockwood Park Interpretation Centre under the supervision of a Community and Recreation Development Coordinator. The primary responsibilities include responding to all inquiries about Rockwood Park and the City of Saint John that come in through walk-in requests, as well as phone or email inquiries. These inquiries can include:

• Directing park visitors to trail heads
• Giving general information about Saint John
• Providing maps or directions
• Answering questions about the facilities

Other responsibilities could include:

• Cleaning and organizing the Interpretation Centre
• Updating the message board
• Assisting with park bookings
• Managing Community Block Party Trailer and Green Machine bookings and programming
• Providing departmental support as needed

The successful candidate will be a university or college student and able to communicate in both official languages.

Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
