Job Title: Records Management Clerk
Job Type: 48-Week Contract
Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented Records Management Clerk with a minimum of one year of relevant experience to join a Government of Canada department in the National Capital Region. If you meet the qualifications below and are interested in this opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with established records management policies, procedures, and systems
- Review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Collect data and compile statistics to support routine reporting
- Maintain and update access control lists for security-classified records
- Track and report on records services activities
- Support periodic file reviews to confirm proper classification and file integrity
- Label files in accordance with retention and disposition schedules
- Assist with preparing records for retention or secure disposal
Requirements:
- English Essential
- Valid Secret Level Clerance (mandatory)
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant work experience
- Secondary School Diploma
