The role:
Contributes to the overall success of the Global Transaction Banking Financial Planning & Analysis team ensuring specific goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
The Senior Manager reports to the Director, GTB FP&A and is responsible for consolidating global expense planning and performance analysis. He/she is accountable for managing and coordinating the expense forecast and budget cycles, and for providing insights and analysis that supports GTB's expense management capabilities.

Contribute to an environment in which the team works together to produce creative and value-added strategic analysis while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
- Management Reporting – Responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and insightful management reporting that highlights key expense trends, variances, and performance drivers. Ensures GTB reporting is clear, consistent, and aligned with leadership needs while continuously enhancing reporting frameworks and automation.
- Financial Forecasting and Planning – Collaborate with partners across GTB to prepare the end?to?end expenses planning and forecasting cycles, developing robust, driver?based projections aligned with strategic objectives. Identifies issues, risk and opportunities and provides commentary related to financial results, forecasts and expense performance metrics.
- Management Information Systems – Work collaboratively with GTB stakeholders to access and leverage management information systems required to support expense performance analysis across business lines, segments, and geographies. Ensures data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across OBI and Hyperion sources.
- Ad Hoc Requests – Support ad hoc requests from Executive Management, auditors, regulators, ratings agencies, research analysts and other external parties as required. Prepare and provide analytical support including analysis and data related to business line, segment, product, geography, or client profitability.
- Risk Culture - Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Create an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- MBA or MS in Finance or Accounting.
- CPA preferred.
- 8+ years of financial planning experience and expense reporting.
- Strong knowledge in financial accounting (IFRS regulations), statutory and other complex accounting principles, P&L reconciliations, profitability analysis, ABC costing models, performance management models, and knowledge of financial and models is required.
- Highly developed understanding of financial reporting process, compliance policies, performance measurement, planning and analysis, service standards, and legal and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in category expense management, cost and resource management
- Advanced presentation and communication skills and proven ability to provide insightful and influential analysis to Executive Management.
- An expert ability to balance competing or conflicting goals of various departments/stakeholders, requiring a mature, diplomatic approach and highly developed negotiation and influencing skills.
- A demonstrated ability to work in a team environment under tight deadlines.
